The Knights and the Deadly Deadly monk are given a mission by their leige lord to look into charges of Satanic corruption levied against their allys the Venetians and set off post haste through the now ruined streets of Byzantium to meet with a Venetian Priest who hopefully has clues to their quest.

What is going on in the wrecked city however, the Franks and their allies are running amok, and it must be that a curse has befallen them, twisting their minds to Evil.
