They need to find more information, and they have a good lead that perhaps they can find it at the Inn of the Red Crossroads. Of course they first have to get there which as it is in the centre of an enormous battleground that three different clans have fought over repeatedly might be difficult. Luckily they have an ample supply of Ghost repelling mushrooms, shame they do not have a mushroom that repels assassins or internal conflict isn’t it?

Given they have dealt with the Gaki and talked to the Ghost you would think the Officers would be fleeing away from the Haunted Forest, except that they aren’t. Instead they are heading back into it searching for the samurai in the forest. The only issue is that the officers all seem to have different ideas about exactly what they are going to do when they find him…

Time to go straight to the horses mouth. The Ghosts has some questions to answer, but first the Samurai are going to have to persuade the local Shrine Woman to talk to them. What is th spymaster up to while all this is going on? Will they be able to get to the bottom of the mystery?

Faced with the mystery of who the Ghost was and why she was so angry with the Diamyo, the Samurai decide to see if there are any other members of the Akirito family still.. alive.
Whether there will be any members of the family left AFTER they find them however is an entirely different question!

Returning from the Heiwana shrine the Officers of the Diamyo report back and hen have to discuss what to do next. With the Nakatomi certainly likely to take offence at the killing of their Executioner, the theft of their Teppo and the capture of Jinsoku the Swift perhaps it would be best to prepare for war. However there is a niggling feeling that the Ghost on the Bridge was trying to warn them of something far more dangerous.
What will they do? and more importantly, are they actually going to be able to work together in the face of their varying agendas.

Episode 262
Creeping into a haunted forest at night seemed like such a good plan at first. Then of course it became obvious that there was a lot more in the forest than just them. In fact there is a pretty good chance that the forest is not only haunted but hiding a whole lot of threats.
Can the Samurai enact their plan to steal the Teppo and even the odds? Or will they all die?

The plan was to have a nice little talk, sort out the confusion about the Migunakitsune presence at the shrine and prevent any bloodshed. However having the Nakatomi samurai shot by an unseen assailant was not part of the plan, especially leaving the much less talkative Nakatomi clan executioner in charge of the surrounding forces.

Finally setting off towards the Heiwana shrine the officers first have to contend with the haunted Yurei forest. Will their preparations be enough, or will ghosts and spirits defeat them. Can they reach the shrine before the Nakatomi forces reach it and them. If they do reach the shrine can they hope to stand against their enemies forces?

In this episode we try out a new system in Blood and Honour, and we join the Officers of the Migunakitsune clan as they try and keep the clan from falling into disarray.
