Finally back to the shadowrunning! The Shadowrunners almost have a plan, at least the beginnings of a plan, or the vague whisperings of a plan. It involves hijacking a catering truck, getting inside the generator compound, and then…
With Mad Barry’s head in the bag (literally) the Shadowrunners head home, but with Ruffles badly damaged Menelaus instead pulls an all nighter to get him back up to speed before they head off to talk to the Mole people.
Will the meeting with Gavin Lorrikan go well? Or will they use that old Ork Diplomacy and end up shooting the place up? Find out now!

The Music is The Complex by Kevin MacLeod.
This Podcast is Explicit and contains swearing, descriptions of Norsefire types getting blown up, Mole people, drugs, voice changers, and surprises. Mawdrigen utters a very british sentence, and the British obssession with ‘Bags for Life’ are discussed. Oh and the concept of “Militant Liberal Democrats” is mooted.
Having received a tip off that the “Mole people” do not like Mad Barry the arms dealer. It obviously follows that the best way to get in with Gavin Lorrikan their leader is to go and assasinate him and take “proof” to them.
It’s a decidedly Shadowrun plan.
Riot wanders off to do spirity things, Brochan has yet to reappear. So it’s left to Lucinda, Leonid (von Sturm) and Menelaus (plus drones) to take out the target. He’s got bodyguards though, comparable to Leonid, and he’s a gun dealer. The Ship Inn on Newcomen St is also the local hangout for the Norsefire supporters those bastions of fairness and acceptance (or you know not) and they might not get involved.
Yeah Right.
Join us now as your favourite Shadow Runners “perpetrate some violencing”.

The buzz has turned into a vague whispering in the background, eldritch, and impossible to isolate. Unless it’s in my head… You can hear it right, RIGHT?

The Music is The Complex by Kevin MacLeod.
This Podcast is Explicit and contains swearing, Brexit, Norsefire, Carnage, Murder, Dismemberment, Horrific Drone damage, and Yatta!
Finally we come to the part of the Campaign where we all end up on Government Watch lists as the Players try and purchase the equipment (read stuff what goes Boom) to blow up the generator (WHICH IS FICTIONAL).
They finally start locking down the details of the plan, and it seems like they may actually have some good ideas!
Will they blow themselves up before they get to the mission, what will Leonid name the new drone if he gets the chance, will they actually be able to find the help they need.
Oh and finally, what’s the deal with Dorian Grey?
Please note our on going sound issues got worse for this one I am afraid, I’ve done my best to try and clear it but there is some upper end buzz.

The Music is the Complex by Kevin Macleod
This Podcast is Explicit and contains a Minotaur (not MinaTAR) rigger, bad language, guns, haribo and their crackly crackly bags, Explosives, the Forth Bridge, Scrabbling for money, slightly racist Ork gangers, and likely us being put on various Watch Lists.
Please note if you haven’t watched the ADVERT for fallout four, there is a spoiler for fallout four.
Join us as we continue to learn the Shadowrun 5e combat rules (although we do forget the -ve roll to defend for being hit with multiple attacks between your actions). The Gang dealt with Brochan dissappears off with Julian Fannah, and leaves the rest of his team to deal with the whole fighting ghouls in a dark basement bit…
So they open the door and despite having a drone right there Leonid takes point. Will the Ork Samurai survive not only the Ghouls but the “supporting” fire from Ruffles the Drone and the other Shadowrunners?
Also All Praise Ruffles our new Machine Overlord.
Nb. We mention getting the Rule of Six, however the Rule of Six is ONLY on rolls using edge. So Many Rules….!
A few sound issues here but far less than the previous episode. I am still working on it!

This Podcast is Explicit and contains a Minotaur (not MinaTAR) rigger, bad language, guns, a few more Fallout 4 spoilers, haribo and their crackly crackly bags, a drunk Bloodied, discussions of Ruffles potential “Dalek issues”, Ghoulicide, and gunfire
With their job secured they begin trying to work out exactly what they are going to actually do about it. Their Air Spirit has given them a basic layout of the place complete with eyes on walls, and flappy things…
Now they need to work out how to actually break a Type 47 reactor without having to take the thing to bits one step at a time. With Saederr Krupp not putting the schematics on the Matrix in case someone uses them to blow them up, they need to locate someone with the knowledge.
Or someone who has a Saederr 47 reactor just lying around. Enter Bob Robinson, London city planner.
I am incredibly unhappy with the sound quality on this one. There were again some sound issues, but of course they were different sound issues from the ones I had finally fixed. This has caused a few words being skipped here and there as they were obscured by crackling. I will make an attempt to adjust the microphones again for the next recording. We are also trying to sort the issue regarding Loka not knowing when other people are talking (damn you Skype)

This Podcast is Explicit and contains a Minotaur (not MinaTAR) rigger, bad language, guns, David Cameron’s alleged Pig Necrophilia, a few Fallout 4 spoilers, the words “well if he will present…”, “Spirits carry things with their knob”, us trying to learn the new rules, and random frustrating crackles (mostly removed).
With the Shadowrunners hired to render the Biology concerns generator offline for a certain period of time, they continue attempting to do their due diligence and you know research the target before just rocking up to the place with all the guns.
Realising that the Saederr-Krupp type 47 is a strong little reactor they start trying to think of ways to wreck the thing, but first they need more information! Matrix Searches, Drone Reconnaissance, Spirits, they try it all, but will they get bored and just kick the door in? Will their spirit of air manage to bring them back useful information or will the fact that its a spirit and doesn’t understand the material world mean its information is, shall we say, less than useful.

In a slightly shorter than intended session (due to the fact we were all unbelievably tired) we delve into the planning of their heist.

The year is 2077 and the UK is now a flooded toxin filled wasteland where Megacorporations wage a shadowy war on each other for influence and profit using deniable assets called Shadowrunners. Life is dangerous as a Shadowrunner, you are as llikely to be killed by your own side to keep the budget low as you are to be killed undertaking what ever incredibly illegal activity you are undertaking for them.
Mr Johnson always lies, the AAA corporations always want to control you, and there will always be one less bullet in your gun than you want there to be. Continue reading →
